Thanks Justin for the quality content and being able to break down spots so concisely. I'm 18 years old from Australia and hope to be able to play poker alongside you and other PC.com coaches in the future

New member and just watched this lesson. I love how you give a quick run down of the hand, then back it up and explain the spots from players in the hand. I got a lot out of this!

Personally, I think the inputs are not the best. Putting only a B20 and B66 on the T32 flop is not representative of the optimal sizings in this situation. I think something like B33, B66, and B100 are much preferred. I would presume one reason for the high checking frequency for OOP is due to the sizings you used. This is shown through the solver preferring B66 to B20 most of the time. I think the betting frequency would shoot way up if you input the sizings I mentioned earlier, especially since our overpairs are super incentivized to bet quite large. Also the BTN flatting range is not good. The BTN should 3-bet way more than what is suggested by the range. Even, JTs should 3-bet a large majority of the time. The inputs are quite poor tbh.

Imagine telling the 6th highest ranked player in the world that their "inputs are quite poor tbh". Lmao, have some humility dude.

It's just a simplified sim from the original. This spot doesn't operate with any B100. If I re-run with b33, b66, b100 total c-bet freq will go slightly down because no frequency will go into the B100 and you'll lose some c-bets moving from B20 to B33 as your small size. In terms of the BTN preflop range, you can obviously 3-bet slightly more, but the properties of how this spot plays will stay the same. Flatting 8% frequency here is completely fine though, especially in non-raked games. Feel free to reach out on Discord, always happy to chat more about the spot! All the best!
